Netgear has expanded its router portfolio with the launch of a new router in India. The company has announced the launch of its new Wi-Fi router — RAX10. It’s a dual-band 4-stream Wi-Fi6-enabled router and it features 4X more capacity and claims to offer 40% increased data throughputs and is 100% backward compatibility with older devices.
Netgear RAX10 router: Features
The RAX10 supports max speed of up to 1.8Gbps. The simultaneous dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz are capable of data throughputs of up to 600mbps + 1200mbps respectively. The router is powered by a quad-core 1.5GHz processor and comes with three high-gain antennas that allow it to support 4 simultaneous streams of Wi-Fi 6.
According to the company, the router can stream up to 8K UHD videos and lag-free gaming. Apart from that, it also features 5 Gigabit Ethernet (4 x LAN + 1 x WAN) ports.
The RAX10 also has benefits with AX technology. While AX-compatible devices can connect at higher speeds, these devices also get an improved efficiency for longer battery life. The included additional DFS channels also help reduce interference from neighbouring Wi-Fi networks.
In terms of privacy and security, the RAX1- also features Netgear Armor which claims to protect users’ data and devices from internet threats such as viruses and malware. The company has also included Smart Parental Controls. It also comes with a companion app that allows users to easily set up the device right using their smartphone.
